I vote The Pogues and Ministry out.

I suggest Dinosaur Jr and second the suggestions for Husker Du and The Replacements.

If i may suggest, if you're keeping the vote count i suggest you update it in the OP that way we won't have to search through all the pages to find the updated vote count, it's on the first page.

I'm just not that into Goth. I can appreciate some Bauhaus but I could never really dig Sisters of Mercy. Such an awful band name too.

Naming your band after an awesome song by Leonard Cohen is far from awful in my book.
