Default Canadian Stuff...

I'm from the US very close to Canada so I grew up listening to lots of Canadian stuff. IMHO I think Canada has a ton to offer musically past and present. Any thoughts?

I'll just mention a few I like - The Hip, Sloan, Our Lady Peace, The Arcade Fire, Boy, Sloan, Bedouin Soundclash, Death From Above 1979, etc. etc. etc.

Probably my favorite now is DFA and The Arcade Fire.

The Arcade Fire are very good. They're very much into their music when they perform.

I'm pretty sure Neil Young is Canadian. Another band worth a mention is Pilate. Broken Social Scene aren't bad either.

Dude if we're just talking Canadian artists that have nothing to do with Indie then....
Rush and the Tragically Hip, damn people.
and......of course....The Band.
