This is probably the most depressing song i know.
idk why but this song makes me feel like im walking through an abandoned castle and ian is its sad king whose voice echoes through its hallways. |
You mean there's some other kind?

Check out 'Enjoy's paradise and personality live session its really dark just two bass guitars and drums. The cure of course , Elvis depressedly, salvia plath , Elliot Smith , Black books
thats all i coud think on the top of my head please refrain from self promotion. |
The Smiths are very melancholic, if not always in sound then certainly in content. 'How Soon Is Now', 'What Difference Does It Make' and 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now' are good shouts.
Manic Street Preachers are also dark, especially their earlier works. 'A Design For Life', and 'Motorcycle Emptiness' showcase the same sort of existential crisis, dissatisfaction with life kind of feeling as The Smiths and Radiohead. They also have more specific songs like 'She Bathed Herself In A Bath of Bleach'. |

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds has some pretty depressing stuff.
For some reason, Joy Division can really make me sad. Perhaps "Atmosphere"? |
