7. MORNING GLORY
(1995, (What's The Story) Morning Glory?)

A banging tune with loud guitars, Liam's famous sneers, and a wall of sound to bring the house down, this stadium rocker is one of Oasis's biggest epics.

6. ROLL WITH IT
(1995, (What's The Story) Morning Glory?)

Another song about marching to the beat of one's own drum, this loud wall of sound is definitely one of Oasis's biggest crowd pleasers.

5. LYLA
(2005, Don't Believe The Truth)

The first single released from their 2005 smashing hit album, Lyla is a solid rocker with the same ingredients that made earlier songs so infectious.

4. HALF THE WORLD AWAY
(1994, B-Side)

This is by far Oasis's best B-side, and the best song to feature Noel on lead vocals.

3. CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA
(1995, (What's The Story) Morning Glory?)

This album closing rock epic cemented Oasis's status as one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

2. LIVE FOREVER
(1994, Definitely Maybe)

In Noel's estimation, this is the best song he has ever written. In truth, it is one of the best songs ever written...ever. This rock anthem elevated Oasis into superstardom. Everything about this song is spine-tinglingly amazingly good.

Well, I'm at the end of my countdown.

It's been boring sharing it with you all, since there are thousands of board members and only 1 or 2 people that left comments.

This board needs to lighten up and get more active!

Anyways...

My number 1 Oasis song is...

1. SUPERSONIC
(1994, Definitely Maybe)

The very first single. A song that showed the Gallagher brothers' attitude that they did not give a damn about what people thought, which added to their appeal with the youth. The song is upbeat, but has plenty of swagger.

0. I Am The Walrus
(1994, live Glasgow Cathouse.)

(1994, Later ... with Jools Holland, Oasis - I Am The Walrus.)

It is very fitting that "I Am the Walrus" comes in at #0, because in many ways it was ground zero for the band, Oasis. The song was the binky that band teethed on, practicing it for hours on end, in a grotty basement, garage or warehouse - wherever band practice was held. It was the song that Noel (or was it Liam?)insist the band play over and over till they got it right. The first video was recorded live in Glasgow as the Cathouse, in June '94, with an amazing instrumental outro. The second video was recorded on Later... with Jools Holland - Series 4, Episode 6, initial broadcast: Saturday 10th December 1994 at 8:00PM on BBC2.
