Question Ever heard of Phoenix?

Have you ever heard about the french band Phoenix? They played on some festivals during this summer and I watched a few of their performances (not live, but online). I like them, especially the song "If I Ever Feel Better".

If you know them, what do you think of them? Tell me.

And btw: One of the bandmembers (I dunno who, I don't even know their names) is supposed to be the boyfriend or fiancé of Sophia Coppola, director of "Lost In Translation" and daughter of Francis Ford, director of the best film ever made: "The Godfather". Awesome.

Their new album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix will come out may 25th!
The track 1901, listenable on myspace, will be on that new album.

I've a preference for Alphabetical, but there are some fantastic tracks on all their albums. Phoenix is one of the most underrated bands at the mo.

I've finally managed to listen to the album. There are a few catchy tracks (like Lisztomania and 1901) but overall too few to get really excited about. Maybe I just need to listen to it more. The voice reminds me of Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal at times.

I agree. They didn't blow me away. But I find them quite enjoyable. Solid band.

Their latest album is sublime (very consistent). I remember playing it for a bunch of Metric fans and them calling me a complete moron, LOL.

'Sup with that?

Yeah, they were on SNL, and I heard them, and thought they were pretty good. Come to think of it, there are a couple bands I currently listen to that I heard on one of the late night shows.
