I have a place in my heart for Experimental Jet Set because it was my first Sonic Youth album, and I honestly didn't think it was as horrendus as NYC Ghosts & Flowers.

Murray Streets got its moments. Brilliant opener and i have a soft soft for Radical Adults Lick Godhead Style and Sympathy For The Strawberry. Plastic Sun is still a bit of a mindfuck for me, even now.

I've heard Daydream Nation and EVOL, neither has really clicked with me. Which album aside from those two do the people who know my tastes think I'd like best?

'Sister' is a must listen.
You might like 'Rather Ripped'...I'm no expert on Sonic Youth, but I enjoyed that album.

I'd go Sister yeah. Dirty is also a more accessible album and a tad heavier and cleanly produced.

I've just got a gut feeling Rather Ripped will appeal to ethan for some reason.

I'd be wary of doing that if I was you.

Try Bad Moon Rising, it's their most accessible album.
