I love Sonic Youth.

Albums I have- Murray Street, Dirty, Goo, Washing Machine

I have quite a few songs downloded too.. most of Experimental Jet Set, Daydream Nation, a little Sonic Nurse and Sister. I want to get Evol because I hear it's pretty good and I know it's old.

Some of my favourite songs by them -The Diamond Sea, Wish Fulfillment, Bull In The Heather, Kill Yr Idols, Disconnection Notice, Pacific Coast Highway, Theoretical Chaos, Dude Ranch Nurse.. man I love them all.

I agree, Thurston is a very underrated guitar player, his style is so unique and it's unlike anything I've ever heard before.

Whoever said that Kim was in her 70's.. she's only like 54 I think.. and Thurston is 42 (I think)

Or was it 52 and 46.. gah, something like that..

To sum it all up, Sonic Youth are amazing.

Kim Gordon is in 'Last Days' and man she looks old.

The Melvins are excellent!

Hmm... I just got Confusion is Sex / Kill Yr. Idols and I really like it. Probably better than evol.

But hey, that's just me. Their cover of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" is so dark and disturbing that it puts Iggy to shame.

^ Are you talking about the crappy live recording that's been floating around or did they do a studio take?

Anyone have any of Kim's side project Free Kitten? If so, holla.

I love " I Love You Mary Jane " with Cypress Hill, I think that was THE standout track on that soundtrack. Kim Gordon's voice gave me URGES in my AREAS

I love that cover too even though it sounds like it was recorded in a toilet.

But that and the title track are about the only good tracks on it

Default Who has the new Sonic Youth album?

I don't. 2 people I know have promised to send me it, but are taking their sweet time and I'm impatient when it comes to this band, fuelled even more by the fact that my 2 friends believe it to be amazing.

I'll be damned if I wait until June 13th. If any kind souls have it and would like to send me it let me know. Thanks.
