Dunno about that , i`ve listened to them for years and I think some of the stuff they`ve done is just downright awful.

They`re one of those bands that when they`re good they`re excellect , and when they are bad they`re virtually unlistenable.

I bought it, but I own all their cds (i'm a nerd, i know), if you liked Rather Ripped and Goo, your enjoy it. It's not earthshattering or anything like that though.

Honestly, listen to the cds your friend lent you, especially Sister, it is by far their best album. Then if you still are at a loss and need more Sonic Youth, buy it.

I like "Confusion is Next." If you like "Brother James" you should check out Glenn Branca. It's like he takes that song and turns it into a symphony.
