I've come around and decided it's a very good album. The second and fourth song are the only totally shit songs on the album, but since they're in the beginning they've sorta influenced the way I perceived the album the first couple of listens...

For a 3rd album, I'm really glad they didn't do something mainstream.
Even so, it just doesn't grab me.
It's accomplished, there's no doubt about that, but it doesn't have any punch.
It leaves me a bit cold...maybe it'll grow on me yet.

I'm sure it will, I thought it lacked the familiar KoL sound, melody...then after a few listens I found just that....the album definitely gets much better after track 4...so maybe you should play those tracks a few times...for example, Arizona is one of the best closing tracks ever...very melancholic...Fans and Black thumbnail were pretty apparent standout tracks from the get go, built on them. Every track has that something that elevates them from bland crappyness of say, Charmer (I'm sorry but those wailing sounds he makes are just ridiculous) or Mcfearless...it just takes a while to find it...

the two songs you hate are my favourite songs on the album. McFearless is a brilliant song... pfft.

I love this album, On Call and Fans were instant hits for me. I was wondering if anybody can name any bands that resemble KoL in sound.

Cheers!

Also my Grandma met Randy Travis.

And my brother got thrown out of a Senses Fail concert for throwing a pair of granny panties at Buddy Nielsen.
