Oh Comely took me a long time to appreciate.

And 'Two Headed Boy Pt. 2' is definately the most emotional connection I feel on that album, along with 'Holland, 1945' at a close second.

I loved Oh Comely relatively quickly, I'm a sucker for horns. I've grown away from Holland though, the rest of the album outdoes it IMO.

Holland was a poor choice, IMO for a single. Ghost would've been a better choice.

Love Oh Comely, btw.

EDIT: WHAT THE HELL? Someone screwed with my post.

From a mass appeal standpoint I'd say Holland is right there behind Aeroplane, so I don't blame NMH for choosing that if they wanted to make some money.

Maybe so, but Holland didn't really stand out much for me, and I usually skip over it.

Since I'm new to NMH I haven't heard much, but I like King of Carrot Flowers, all parts.

You're in for quite a treat. Be sure to take the album in as a whole.

I love the way that Mangum sings the opening verse for Holland, it's one of those genius moments in the album.

The moment between the song Ghost - Untitled - Two Headed Boy Pt. 2 is my favourite moment in music so far. Those three songs close the album perfectly.

I would say my favourite track is Ghost/Untitled. I know they are technically two songs, but one couldn't exist without the other.

Yeah, I have pretty much all of Aeroplane, now I'm working on getting On Avery Island. I'll try to buy it.

Worth seeking out are alot of songs not on their proper albums, such as:

Engine
Sailing Through (Live In SF version)
Rubby Bulbs
Ferris Wheel On Fire
Oh, Sister
I Will Bury You In Time
My Dreamgirl Don't Exist
Bucket

In fact they probably have at least an album worth of equally good unreleased material, those were just 8 off the top of my head.
