^^Whatt? that was amazing. I've been obsessing over OF lately and every now and then listening to neutral milk on the side for old times sake. It's just hilarious that someone made this mash up.

I'm pretty indifferent to the mashup, but I really like the rapping in this track. Gonna look into this guy.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Get Bastard, Tyler's album, it's really good.

i thought highly of them when I was obsessed with Elephant 6

these days, I find them hit or miss - and I dislike Mangum's whine

of E6, I only still like Of Montreal and Olivia Tremor Control

Elf Power, anyone?

I think EP are one of the weakest in the collective. They just lack that creative spark that makes the likes of NMH, The Music Tapes, OTC and OM so compelling. In my oh so very humble opinion anyway.

I love "King of Carrot Flowers" - it's one of my favorite songs - does anyone know what it's about though? I can't figure it out.

I recently did a reading of that song, as part of a piece on how disturbing the whole album is: The Centrifugue: Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

To paraphase, I think it is about how he is passing from innocense to adulthood, how his authority-figures collapses, and how he begins searching for new authoritative figures while dreaming of innocense. That is why he becomes a Christian, that is why he develops that unhealthy crush on Anne Frank. It's just an interpretation, though.

Hey Everyone. Just wanted to see what everyone has to say about one of my favorite bands! Critisism, loves, whatever just write it all here! what do you think about Jeff Mangum and his solo performances. Also Avery Island, In An Aeroplane over the sea!? Put it down.
