Oooh that's my favourite album of theirs too. I saw them live at Big Day Out in 2008 (I think?) and they actually weren't bad. Really fun.

(I realise I just replied to a really old post)

I hadn't heard of them at all until I went to a Feelies concert back in March or April at the 9:30 club. Spoon opened for them; they were pretty interesting and I thought it was funny when they used random items for their solos, but they got nothing on the Feelies. There was a party there after the concert and the Feelies were supposed to be off by 10:30, but every single person there refused to leave until after the second encore. Those of us that stayed were really lucky; they ended up coming back four times, and the whole concert they were playing their good ole' songs but with some really awesome improv solos. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been too; me and my friend were by far the youngest people there but damn everyone was so into it. Go see the Feelies live if you like them at all, they're like ten times better live than on their albums (no easy feat by any means).

Have to say i find all of their stuff, with exception to Killing the Moonlight, bland and overrated.

I think they are good, but not as good as a lot of my friends think they are. Lead singer is pretty ****ty, but they make up for it with the sound.

I keep hearing this. They recently played here with Passion Pit and Pheonix and from all accounts Spoon was the worst of the lot.

Yeah I am with you, I like their music, but for some reason just think it is overrated sometimes. But nonetheless, my favorite album by them is probably Kill The Moonlight followed by Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga...

Really? I think that, for what he lacks vocally, Britt Daniel has exceptional skill as a song-writer/frontman. "Kill the Moonlight" was great, but I think "Gimme Fiction" was their greatest work to date. "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga" wasn't a bad album either--in fact, "Don't Make Me a Target" is, in my opinion, a fantastic song with some very mean grooves.
