Cool Introducing...me? Ingrown Records

Hello all! My name's Ryan and I'm a photographer, videographer, video editor, synthesizer obsessor, and radio DJ. Mainly I'm unemployed. Really happy to have found this place. I run a small experimental / ambient / electronic label called Ingrown Records, celebrating 14 years this year. We've released tapes, CDs, and vinyl, but we are mostly a digital and tape label, sometimes TV show, radio show, and music festival. I've been very blessed to work with some of my favorite artists and best friends from all over the world. Here are just some of my favorite releases:

https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/album/t...stors-and-tape < IDM / Aphex Twin-style analogue
https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/album/sport < IDM / experimental electronic
https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/album/buff < goofy and very good upbeat synth, kosmiche electronica

https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/album/3d-realdoll-beta < vaporwave, retrowave
https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/album/tourist-2 < ambient, drone
https://ingrown.bandcamp.com/album/b...-anomaly-audio < PS1-era VGM and MIDI psych rock / electronica

I also make ambient / drone / space synth music as Anubis Rude and with the improvisational ensemble / supergroup Human Energy Field

Glad to be here!

Welcome aboard Ryan. Glad you joined MB!

You seem like an unabashed obsessive, which is a very good thing in my book.

Welcome.

I'm listening to the "tourist" LP at this moment.

Welcome to Music Banter, Ryan. I actually recall reading something about your Anubis Rude project. I’ll have to give it a listen.

Thanks to you both! I'm enjoying it so far. There's still plenty of music to discover.

hey Ryan, welcome. sounds like your passions have carried you quite a ways. that's awesome. i'm into photography and making tapes too, and i hope that continuing to let my passion for music, media, the arts, etc. drive my life yields similar results.

im checking out some stuff on your label's bandcamp. plenty to dive into, thanks for the links.

what have you been listening to lately?

Thank you and thanks for checking it out! I really appreciate it. That's awesome, wishing you all the best in your musical and artistic journeys. I'm no expert and I won't pretend to have all the answers, but I'm happy to chat and share some of my experience if you ever need it.

This artist submitted to my radio show and while not everything is my thing I'm really digging her latest album.

Here's a few more:

I've been revisiting my favorite Rush track lately. It has been years. Still good.

Got my eyes on this upcoming Mondo Lava as well. Their earlier stuff is fantastic, so it's great to see them back after so many years away.
