Meet Misty. She belonged to a friend who recently passed away, so my lady friend took her in. She's 15 years and was really timid and afraid the first week or so, but she's come around really well since. She likes to follow me around and is also very interested in seeing what's in the fridge when I open it to get a beer.

She says "aww thank you". lol

Such a sweet little one, and she really couldn't have landed into a better home. My lady friend spoils her kitties pretty good. Her fur is back to being shiny and full and she's gained her weight back after being scruffy and underfed. She was a sad sight and just hid in a corner behind a couch, but now she's playing with her unlimited supply of toys, tunnels, scratch pads, etc., as well as being put on a strict diet of treats and she's recently started showing lots of affection. It's kitty nirvana over here.

Hi, Misty.

"really timid and afraid" - warmed my heart right there and then.

She's beautiful - I love her caramelly color. And green eyes?

Glad she's bouncing back and doing well.

Thanks ribbons! It's been 6 weeks since she's been there and yesterday she finally let me pet her without her being skittish. We think she may have incurred some type of abuse from someone's 'hand', since at first she'd rub up on you all day but once you showed her a hand to go and pet her, she'd hiss and get defensive. Now she's all lovey dovey and likes to move from one human to the next for some head scratches and deep back rubs when we're watching tv.

Her 'space':

Tuckered out:

"Hey, whaddaya doing with that weird square in your hand?":
