I really enjoy Maggie, my basset hound. We have no idea how old she actually is. Some idiot dumped her on the campus where my dad works and left her, and she was full grown then. Probably 2 1/2 or 3 years old. We've had her for nine years since then, and she's the sweetest dog ever. Plus, when a fire truck goes by in the street or something, she's got that awesome, deep, hound bark. She's a sweetie. Even if she has this strange fascination with licking my knee. Never quite understood why she does that.

I love the idea of having a sleepy dog that doesn't listen at all and destroys stuff when you look away. I should have a basset or a dachshund

Woah! Major update.
Meet Dolly!

If everything should go according to plan, we will be picking her up anytime soon.
She's still a puppy, gets along with both cat and 5 month old kid, but the owner's older dog doesn't accept her.
She can't stand being alone for more than a couple of hours. That's perfect for my dad. He's home most of the time and takes the dog with him whenever he can.

She's more than 200 miles away, but we might be on our way to pick her up tomorrow

aw, he's a hefty boy. i can't understand a word you said either, but I'll just assume it was swearing and cussing.
