I grew up with German Shepherds, so I have the same love for them. Although, my wife and I are open to other breeds also. Our house is unfortunately too small for two large dogs, so we're looking at getting a smaller breed soon. Maybe a Miniature Pincher.

i wonder if German Shepherds are easier to teach tricks compared to other breeds of dogs.

There is a reason that they are K-9 units for police here in their states. I read somewhere that Australian sheep dogs are considered the most intelligent of dog breeds, as they instinctively can learn on their own and round up sheep and other various livestock.
