most likely has to due with the angle at which the picture was taken and the position of the retina to reflect light from the rods and cones located in the backs of the iris.

Even with a flash off it could be due to the light behind the camera, something reflecting off the lens any miniscule amount of light. Same thing with ppl eyes, but peoples eyes are mostly red and blue cones, which is why the eyes on people are red.

due to the fact that certain animals see in specific spectrums i'm assuming would have to do with the type and color of light reflected.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Yeah, it's scary when your pets reveal their true alien nature, innit?

But this was the scariest, when I caught him transporting back down from the mothership....

Eheheheheheh....The green monster behind the cat in the first picture.....could it be a demon or something?

Also, is your cat a little fat? Stomach looks pretty large.

Holy ****. He looks and sounds even more bad ass. I have a pretty bad ass cat, myself. I'll have to post some pics. He's also one of the biggest ive ever seen, around 10kg as well. He's not fat either, as you said. He's just huge and unbelievably fast.
