He would always be there waiting for me/us after work with his head held up high for me to give him a scratch behind the ears as he'd follow my hand, almost falling off of whatever furniture he was perched on. I'll miss him dearly. R.I.P. Kitty. Say hello to Mr and Mrs O for me my good friend.

Sorry to hear that Plankton. Had to put down that alley cat awhile back it always hits you hard but doing what is right for the animal should always take precedent. 22 is beyond a great life for a cat also. Had the day off yesterday so I missed this, went surf fishing and had a great day.

Thank you Fred. It took a lot to not burst out balling in front of everyone in the waiting room as we left. According to the GF, this will be her third cat she had to put down. It was my first time ever doing anything of the sort since I never had pets.

Surf fishing sounds fun.

I've done it five times in my life. Its always the same. Its hard to let go, but its best for the pet. You never really understand the true joy they bring you in life until you're crying your eyes out. Sounds like he lived a great life.

Sunset Beach is a godsend for surf fishing. Caught several fish, most of em throwbacks but had a hell of a good time.

Especially when you're trying to make dinner and you're constantly tripping over them because they think the food is for them.

It's been about a year and a half since my big lass passed away and I welled up earlier today when I was thinking about her. It certainly does get easier with time but you'll never forget how much they meant to you.

My housemate made this for me & my cheeky little rescue dog!

He's a poodle x mystery terrier but we call him the terrier of terror.

He is named after a Star Wars character.

We took him to our first dog training class and at the end of the session, all of the owners lined up in a civilised manner to let their dogs have a drink from the drinking buckets. When it was our turn, he got INTO the bucket. And just sat there, in the water, looking at us like "Yeah, what you gonna do about it?!"

All of my cat owner friends are laughing their asses off at me right now, because he has also taken to hiding his toys in my bed and digging holes all over our backyard.

Love him to bits, though!
