Welcome! You'll have fun here, but honestly If This Is How You Write, I don't know if anyone's gonna adopt you... sorry

Adoption sounds rather interesting, so I'm willing to give it a go...if anybody are prepared to take me that is. For information, I've made an introduction thread in the "introductions" section.

Hello
Just registered and looking to be adopted.
Have not posted at any music forums before now, but as my user name says I am a music nut. I have a record collection of app. 3500 albums and cd's in the 500 range. Records date back to 60's, with a few 50's thrown in. I still listen to my records on a daily basis and am just looking for a place to share my opinions of these classics. I still listen to new stuff and my taste is very wide. For starters I would like to post an album each day for discussion with others if they would like. Can someone point me to which section of the forum I should post these in. Thanks and I hope to become a member who will make a contribution here.

Welcome! You can post any reviews in the "Album Reviews" section.

thanks for the feedback bd
Since I wanted to do this daily, should I just create 1 thread and add to it each day, which is what I was thinking. Just don't want to step on anyone's toes, being a newbie and all.

Well once you've been here a while you could start a journal.

One thread is preferred because then there won't be a million of them crowding the forum. Also, when you become a regular poster, you can PM one of the mods and ask if you can start a journal in the "Member's Journal" section - which is essentially your "blog" about whatever music you like or have in your collection.

I would start with one thread in the Reviews section though

Alright, grasshopper, I can take you on. If you want to know me better, feel free to check out my own old introduction thread or send me a PM. Basically, I'm a 27 year old graduate biology student currently writing up my thesis at the zoological museum at Tøyen, maybe not too far from where you live I'm also a moderator on this site which you can tell from my nickname's blue colour.

I'm not sure what this adoption stuff entails, but I suggest you just get posting. What I like most about the site are in fact the journals with or without reviews. Spending some time in there should make it clear who some of the bigger and more active contributors to the site are. If there's anything you're uncertain of, you could check out this helpful thread : http://www.musicbanter.com/introduct...sicbanter.html ..

.. or you can of course send me a Private Message.

Thanks, I'm fine for now but it's good to know I've got a... I think "guide" is the appropriate word.

PS, jeg går på OBS (Oslo By Steinerskole), og bor på Nordstrand.
