I pretty much agree with this, and decided to see if I could stick this out for a while, at least long enough to see if I think I'll be stayin'. So far I really like this site: everyone seems to be well educated and it's well organized. So since I'm pretty sure I love you guys, here's my introduction thread!

Currently on my MP3 player, you will find the following bands/artists, in alphabetical order (my faves are bolded):
3 Doors Down, 30 Seconds to Mars, 311, 8stops7, 98 Degrees, Aaliyah, AC/DC, Alan Jackson, Alice in Chains, All-American Rejects, Aretha Franklin, Arrested Development, Ataris, Avenged Sevenfold, Avril Lavigne, BB King, Bear McCreary, Bjork, Black Label Society, Black Tide, Blackstreet, Bliss 66, Blue October, Bob Marley, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Bowling for Soup, Bryan Adams, Breaking Benjamin, Buckcherry, Candlebox, Chamillionaire, Chevelle, Cold, Coolio, Craig David, Crossfade, Cyndi Lauper, Cypress Hill, David Bowie, Death Cab for Cutie, Default, Disturbed, Dixie Chicks, Dope, Dragonforce, Dwight Yoakam, Elliott Yamin, En Vogue, Evans Blue, Fall Out Boy, Fear Factory, FEFF, Finger Eleven, Foo Fighters, From A Second Story Window, Frou Frou, Fuel, Gary Numan, Gin Blossoms, Godsmack, Golden Earring, Heart, Hinder, Hoobastank, Incubus, Iron Horse, Israel Kamakawiwo, Jamiroquai, Jane Siberry, Jem, John Legend, John Mayer, Jordis, Josh Groban, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Kevin Fowler, King's X, Lacuna Coil, Lenny Kravitz, Linkin Park, Lit, Living Colour, LL Cool J, Lyle Lovett, Lynard Skynard, Madonna, Maroon 5, Mary J. Blige, Metallica, Medicine, Modest Mouse, Monoral, My Chemical Romance, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Natasha Bedingfield, Nine Inch Nails, No Address, No Doubt, Nonpoint, Notorious BIG, Commitments Soundtrack, Papa Roach, Pat Benetar, Paul Potts, Pink, Prince, Puddle of Mudd, Puya, Queens of the Stoneage, Quietdrive, R. Kelly, Rage Against the Machine, RES, Rihanna, Rise Against, Rob Zombie, Robbie Williams, Saliva, Salt-N-Pepa, Sarah McLachlan, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Scott Mckenzie, Seether, Sevendust, Shakira, Shinedown, Shop Boyz, Simon & Garfunkel, Snoop Dogg, Spacehog, Sponge, Staind, Stephen Lynch, StoneSour, Stone Temple Pilots, Submersed, Subversa, Switchfoot, SWV, System of a Down, Talk Talk, Temple of the Dog, Texas, The Black Crowes, The Bravery, The Cure, The Donnas, The Doobie Brothers, The Everly Brothers, The Four Tops, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Mamas & The Papas, The White Stripes, Theory of a Deadman, Thompson Twins, Thousand Foot Krutch, Three Days Grace, Three Tenors, Timbaland, TLC, Toad the Wet Sprocket, TowDown, Tracy Bonham, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Trisha Yearwood, Trust Company, Tupac, U2, Utada Hikaru, Vince Gill, Wailing Souls, Waterproof Blonde, Weezer, Within Temptation, The Wreckers, Zucchero.

Please keep in mind that just because an artist is listed, doesn't mean I'm totally obsessed with them and have everything they own. A lot of these guys only have a few songs I like.

I love checking out new music, no matter the genre. Unfortunately, my 4G MP3 player is now officially out of space, so I'm begging my husband to buy me another one. It's not working...

Anywho, thanks for having me and I'll be chattin' with y'all later!

*shrugs*...to each their own I suppose. The important thing is that I like it. So there!

Besides, I'm here to expand my musical horizons, remember? So if you have a suggestion for something "better" I should listen to, hit me with it.

Oh yeah...and hello!

Don't worry about ProggyMan i'm sure you've seen enough of the forum to realise nobody takes him seriously at all.

Welcome here nonsubmissivewife.
Glad you like the site.
Some great artists in that list you made.
Not too keen on the username though.

Funny story behind that name...I was playing Halo 2 with my hubby and some friends, and we we're all making our gaming profiles. My husband and I were bickering back and forth (in a fun way), and he jokingly told me that I need to learn to be more submissive. So "nonsubmissivewife" became my gaming handle, and it kinda stuck!
