Default Intro

Hi, my name is Max and I am a youngster from the southern part of Sweden. I study at the IB Diploma programme (anyone else?) and my refuge from everyday life is, naturally, music. I play guitar and sometimes piano (still a beginner in that field though), and I appreciate a very broad variety of musical styles. My first favourite band (they're my favorites still) was a Swedish band called bob hund, which sound like Sonic Youth mixed with Kraftwerk, but with a Scanian singer and a quite poetic approach to their music. Other favorite bands of mine include Neil Young & Crazy Horse and Steely Dan. I also like a lot of ambient music, such as the German Wolfgang Voigt's project GAS (check it out, there's a neat collector's box with all the albums on the Kompakt label), as well as Loscil and William Basinski. Albums which I consider landmark ones in my own musical development are Loveless, Rage Against the Machine, What's Goin On and Louder Than Bombs.
This isn't my first post, I also wrote a review of Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! in the review forum, check it out!
