Default How To Gain Instant Notoriety

I have to admit that I'm finally joining musicbanter after maybe two years of Captain Caveman linking me threads from this site (causing me to laugh loudly and in quantity). This probably means you all have preconceived notions of me being a combative ******* and possessing innumerable hardcore cred... Which I don't. That said I've beaten up more people than he has, and I actually play drums in a real band, which pisses him off when I say "you can't properly appreciate musicianship without being a musician". I know that's a fallacious argument, it's just amusing.

Here's my last.fm top overall artists, although honestly (and kind of ironically) I don't think this accurately represents my taste. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Sigur Ros, Mogwai, and Oxbow, and I've rediscovered Black Flag... Caveman also finally convinced me to seriously listen to Lightning Bolt and so I'm busily tabbing as many songs on bass as I can from ridiculous cello tuning into a more reasonable E standard.

1 Death
2 Kyuss
3 Aesop Rock
4 Ratatat
5 Earth
6 Queens of the Stone Age
7 Bolt Thrower
8 Graf Orlock
9 Metallica
10 Lamb of God
11 Arecee
12 Destroy The Runner
13 Nirvana
14 Cancer Bats
15 Cat Power

Nice to meet you all.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

i'd rather keep thinking of CAVEMAN as a duplicitous enigma than a living, breathing human.

Welcome, another Vancouverite amongst our midst. Our numbers are growing greatly and soon we can begin phase two of the assimilation. In the mean time, welcome you have an incredibly versatile taste in music and good diction and syntax.
