As for rap music, if you're interested in listening to some decent, more recent stuff, let me know. Rap and hip-hop have gone a long way. Though the old school stuff is definitely nostalgic and irreplaceable, there's so much out there that deserves a listen. Years ago, you'd have to dig deep to find something remotely listenable, but now the understground stuff is blowing up. Check out the Rap & Hip-Hop threads and you'll see what I mean. Also, Jay-Z and Kanye are decent ****. Have you heard full-length albums or just what's played on the radio?

basically what's been played on the radio. and I see what you mean by Dethklok suck. I saw them 2 summers ago and they kind of blew. But back onto rap. I'll have to look more into it. But with Jay-Z, what is up with "Empire State of Mind"? I saw him perform at the AMAs and I thought it was terrible.
