Welcome Scissorman! :)

people who have been in Beirut say that it has wonderful nightlife. I don't really care about the nightlife, but my friends do, so maybe we will visit it after all :) I would just like to learn enough of the language to find a job without having to finish another college :D

I think you'll easily find a job. It's rare to see anyone studying Arabic literature even in the Arabic countries.
Like all the teachers teach in 3 places minimum... because there's no many others willing to.

but in Serbia every year 60 people start studying Arabic and around 20 finish it... I'd say it's a pretty tough competition. I hope I'll manage somehow, I don't have the nerve to finish another college...

I didn't know that, but you seem on the right track. If you need anything, I still remember the ugly Grammar rules we studied for 15 years in school.

Scissorman 01-17-2010 09:53 AM

the funny thing is that all the Arabic teachers in my college don't know the grammar well :D

^It is the toughest concept I've ever seen, even after learning it for 15 years, only 3 out of my 18 class were able to pass. I was one of them :D
I got a 62/90 on my Arabic official exam, the best grade nationally being 70/90. What's funny is, my Arabic teacher in school used to fail me at each time, having a 36/90 average. The first short movie I then did in Uni, was about her husband with a multiple personality disorder killing her... very cathartic.

Scissorman 01-17-2010 10:10 AM

lol that's the kind of movie I'd make for my Iraqi teacher :D Only it would have to be his wife killing him

NumberNineDream 01-17-2010 10:12 AM

^ I can help you with that too :p:
