Wow what a cool list of bands. All of them are ones I enjoy or haven't heard of. However, I suggest you refrain from sharing your music until you become familiar with the site and show that you are a valid contributor and not just here to show off your album. Wait a while (and keep posting) and it might be allowed, but if you tried now you would get banned.

Anyways, welcome. Favorite musical comedy song?

Yeah I'll wait a bit then. It'd be smart to do.

Favorite musical comedy song is by the amazing musical comedy duo Flight of the Conchords "If you're into it". When I saw that on the show I couldn't stop laughing.

Ah yes I love their music videos... although I admit I've never actually watched the show. I really want to get it on dvd.

Mayhaps you've heard of Ben Folds? This songs is very funny:

So, hello.
This is a site to discuss other people's music, not promote your own. The only people permitted to do so are ones that have made a significant contribution to the forum.

Feel free to use this site for its intended purpose.

Blackalicious is a duo with Chief Xcel as the DJ and Gift of Gab as the MC. Both are insanely talented, but if you haven't heard Gift of Gab's newest solo album, Escape 2 Mars then I'm afraid you'll have to do so because it was easily the best hip hop album of 2009.

Also welcome.

Hello GreenScape, and welcome!

I am not familiar with some of your favorite bands and so I'll look forward to learning more about them. Also, once you are able to post your recordings, I'd enjoy listening to them because I like music composition. While there are other music forums that welcome musicians to share and critique recordings right away, MusicBanter does appear to frown heavily on anything considered self-promotion, probably to prevent people from just posting their stuff once or twice and then leaving, never to be heard from again. Each music community appears to have its own philosophy, rules, audience, and "feel," and it helps to know them from the onset to find the best fit for your needs. I'm glad you are "lurking" no more and are joining in! I hope you'll enjoy the site.
