So how you all doing? I'm 19, a guy and from Australia.

So i guess Music is pretty much the only thing that keeps me going through my day (you know the whole "need music to get out of bed, do my work and fall asleep" drill). I also have this fanatical need to find more and more new music, so i figured i should get in community to do it. Most of my friends have poor music tastes anyway.

I pretty much like most music genres except for Jazz (i don't really 'get' it, although i think that's a fairly common reason), rap, r&b (at least i think i do, i'm not a 100% sure) and various "world" musical styles that culturally mean nothing to me.

So, some of my favourite bands past and present: Tool, Black Sabbath, ACDC, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Saints, David Bowie, NIN, Iggy Pop, The Flaming Lips, The Beatles, Alice Cooper, The Smashing Pumpkins, Steeleye Span, The Ramones, Johnny Cash, The Doors...

I want to get into but am not sure where to start: Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths, The Who, Scott Walker, Jimi Hendrix.

I've been listening to some Blues lately (seasick steve) and i'm really liking what i hear, i'm not sure if this is the appropriate place but does anyone have any blues recommendations? perhaps with some rock thrown i and maybe a little edgier?

But anyway, it's fun to be here.
