Default hey

Hey my name is Alexander and lately I've been looking for places online to talk about all aspects of music and came across this place. Haven't had much luck finding that many places online which surprises me. Anyway a little about myself.. I'm from the West Coast, I love working out, being social and I have a huge passion for music. I listen to a wide variety of music but mostly rap/hiphop/pop/electropop/rock/alternative. I spend a ton of time, maybe too much time, listening to music and reading about it.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people so hit me up.

Welcome to Musicbanter

How old are you approximately? Like, are you a teenager? Do you have any specific bands or artists you like?

I'm 18.

For bands like Maroon 5, Mayday Parade, Lifehouse, Alphabeat, Black Eyed Peas, Far East Movement.. For solo acts I like Frankmusik, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Olly Murs, Lady GaGa, Kris Allen, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Eminem, Usher.

As you can see my taste in music is kind of all over the place.

I'm not so sure .. It's not like you have Gorgoroth, Kraftwerk, Tchaikovsky, ABBA and the Grateful Dead in your list

If you like reading about music, you should check out some of our review threads! I'm sure you'd find a lot of them interesting. They're generally in the members journal and editor's pick forums.

Haha, no it isn't
Mine is, and you managed to make a list that doesn't include one single band I like.
But that's allright. Tastes differ.
But your taste is pretty narrow. Still... That's about to change now you've come to the right place for some thorough musical education

I like mildly amusing GIFs.
Anyway, I welcomed the new member.
That's more than I usually do.
I must be feeling in a nice mood.

Hmm... I dunno, I wouldn't like to be treated that way as a new member.
You come to a music forum, hoping you can talk about your music and before you know someone's posting a clip of jim carrey almost throwing up because of your music.

I can't seem to see something good or nice in that...

The internet despite popular memes is NOT serious business, if you get upset over a silly GIF posted then there's something seriously wrong.

I was just kidding around, mostly.
Though I don't like the bands listed, I'm sure the OP will be a great addition to an already great set of posters!

Welcome.
