Default Hello to you all

I am EvilChuck, or just Chuck will do fine. I'm 22 for all of you who want to know my age, and my location thing says where I'm from. That's the ASL business done, now the good stuff.

Music, I like alot. I mostly listen to Metal, and the various subgenres within (with the exception of Doom/Sludge). I'm a fan of classic Hip Hop as well as some of the more modern rappers. Add in as well a love of Dubstep and liquid DnB as well, and some old school UK garage (note the word some, I dont want any quizzes)

I was raised on a diet of various music genres. My parents listened to stuff varying in styles from Sinatra, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, The Rolling Stones, Cliff Richard... you name it, I've probably been forced to listen to it at some point (probably an exaggeration, but you get my drift)

This isnt the first music forum I've joined, but hopefully it will be the last. And as an aside, a poster who I got on well with from another forum may be joining this one soon as well, she'll make herself known when she does arrive.

Look forward to talking to you all, about music or whatever!!!!

Thanks for that Cherry, always out to make me look good.

Also, this isnt an invasion deliberately, but I have brought another person from the other music forum here as well. He's basically me, just a bit younger.

If any mods arent comfortable with this influx, post here and I'll PM you with our reasons for joining at once

Welcome!
So... how evil are you exactly?
And could you tell us some bands you like in particular?

Oh damn, I dont know why I didnt mention that before lol.

Last.FM rates my top 10 bands as being

Death
Slayer
Suffocation
Opeth
Obituary
Morbid Angel
Cannibal Corpse
Municipal Waste
Lamb Of God
Grave

That gives an idea of what Metal I like. Although there was a long period where my itunes and ipod werent scrobbling, so it missed alot of plays of alot of stuff.

As for the evilness, I am a bastard

Metal, obviously.
I actually have a Morbid Angel picture disk. Found it at a bootsale once.
This is the first time I've seen that name mentioned apart from on that record .

Bastard sounds reasonably evil .

But you like more than metal, so if any other bands come to mind, I'm curious.
Have you ever seen opeth live? I'm not really a metalhead myself. I like metal, especialy when the singer is actually singing, but I wouldn't consider myself a metal head. But seeing opeth live was really something. These guys are really, really good.

That'd be me. Hi people.

I'd have made my own intro thread but meh, there are two new ones already so I thought I'd just drop in here. x)

Just as evil?
I don't mind if you don't make a new thread, but please do tell a bit more about yourself.
A new thread may come in handy should people want to know who you are exactly (they can just click 'show all threads by this member' and find your first thread )

Non Metal bands that come to mind are

Rush (Peart is a GOD)
Nirvana
Foo Fighters
Pearl Jam (Vs and Ten though honestly)
Alice In Chains

Top 5 for Hip Hop would be
Wu Tang Clan (as a group or individually, though GZA is my favourite)
De La Soul
Public Enemy
Pharcyde
Wiz Khalifa (I am allowed one 'not so good' choice :p)

Dubstep is hard for me to really name names, but Excision and Datsik make the sort of stuff I mostly enjoy, and Mt Eden is good for some chilled out stuff.

DnB as I said anything liquid is fine by me. Bachelors Of Science is what I've been playing non stop recently, and Ambisonicz is another whose work I am in love with.

Anything else you'd like to know? (not trying to sound a sarcy twat here mate lol)
