I am not from Kentucky. But I am a big fan of Jim Beam.

If I ever drink again, 'better believe it'll be a straight Jim Beam bourbon.

Maker's Mark > Jim Beam.

Just sayin'.

I agree, but I'm not wealthy enough to drink Maker's Mark on a regular basis

You should recalculate. I don't know about prices where you are but I get Maker's Mark for only 2 - 3 dollars more per bottle than Jim Beam. Also consider that MM is 45% alcohol (90 proof) as opposed to JB's piddling 40%. Factor those in with the fact that Beam tastes like shit compared to MM and you may change your mind.

Hmmm... I'll have to investigate this further, though I certainly don't think Jim Beam tastes like shit.

It doesn't taste bad .. Maker's Mark tastes so much better though.

Also, welcome Kentuckian. Louisville has been a hotbed of music for decades. Some of my favorite 90s bands came from there.
