It's not about coming out of the closet. This is what straight edge is: Straight edge

Hahaha, my goodness Virgin.
You're making me laugh again, but it's pretty sad at the same time, haha

to answer your question, I do not involve myself in politics, fashion has nothing to do with the music, it's not really a lifestyle more......a few things to avoid , I hang out in bars, all my friends smoke, I have more then a few friends who sell. What I do works for me, it's who I am, If other people don't want to do what I do cool, their entitled to live however they want, as long as their being themselves I have no problem with it, live life how you want man, it takes different strokes to move the world. Just because it doesn't work for you , you dont have to try and tear it apart.
But you said, earlier in this thread:

Quote:
It's not about listening to a specific genre of music, people don't understand that there is an entire subculture that the music is apart of. have you ever wondered why hardcore has so many different sounds but is still hardcore? it's because its not just music. Honestly I don't expect you to understand ,I don't expect anybody on here to understand either you live it or you don't. there's more to it then you think.
...and regarding your claim of not getting your fashion from being straightedge:

Quote:
I thought it might be neat to see other peoples punk themed tattoos, so to start it off, here are mine

the one on my shin is the Jersey state seal with 3 X's in the middle, the banner reads
STRAIGHT.....1981.......Edge

I don't think need to explain my wrist.
...and then you said:

Quote:
also when I get a little more money I wanna get a "can we start again" collar ( it's a song by Bane if you didn't know)
You even provided pictures:

So can we admit you've adopted a "straightedge" fashion? Yes?

My tattoos have nothing to do with fashion, lets get that straight right now, if thats what you think tattoos are all about then you shouldn't be talking about them. I know what you're trying to do, and I'm not gonna play into your little game.

Oh god. Some preachy twit who thinks that the convoluted logic he's used to justify attaching himself to some subculture makes him better than you.

Your tattoos aren't about fashion? Really? So when you decided to get "Straight Edge" tattooed on your wrist - you opted for that sort of stylized text over block lettering, because it's not about fashion?

If I'm wrong, please, explain what they're about other than fashion. Because everything else indicates it's about fashion, bub.
