Default Hey all you people!

Hey everyone,
My name is Dylan Jacobus, and I'm new! I've already read the rules and the welcoming posts, so I've got that covered.
I guess I'll start off with a little about myself and what kind of music is in my life. My favorite band since literally before I can remember has always been Rush. They've always been #1 for me, but I always have other "favorites" that I get really wild about, like Damiera, Moneen, and Incubus. I'm usually a rock guy, but I like really smart pop artists like Justin Timberlake and Marina and the Diamonds as well.
I play and write music myself too! My "band" is called Cephalopods And Their Allies, and I have music up on Bandcamp if you want to hear it. I put the word "band" in quotes because I write and play everything myself (except the drums on my most recent CD). Usually I would play solo shows, but I do have a live band now, and we're looking to play out anywhere around NJ (we're all 21, by the way).
My current guitar is a Spalted Maple Telecaster Custom HH that I've been playing since 2009 and I love it to death. I'm making payments on a standard Strat right now though too. Something about Fender guitars really drives me wild, which is funny because I used to play bass mostly and I hated Fender basses, so I always had a grudge against them until I picked up that Tele.
So I guess that's all I really have to say about me and music! I hope I'm making a good impression!
-Dylan

Hahaha, yeah, I guess it would be! Not if you go by Spongebob rules though, apparently.

It took me 2 minutes of hard thinking to figure out you meant Squidward. I didn't have a childhood. It's the only explanation.

don't worry Spongebob is overrated and my kids will NOT be watching that show.

I swear the BOB the creators of that show are high when they write up storylines for it and there are adult themes that kids shouldn't be watching and some of them will probably go over their heads but I just won't let them watch it.

Spongebob is similar to watching aquateenhungerforce but a slightly tamer version.

Hi btw and welcome!

that's fine and dandy but my kids won't be watching Spongebob.

I know other parents that won't let their kids watch that drivel either.
