Default Hello to All, Everyone and you too

I'm a junior in college, majoring in Industrial Engineering. Music has played a huge role in my life ever since I started piano lessons when I was 7. At 13 my aunt gave me her old clarinet and I began playing in the middle school band. My music lessons definitely gave me an outlet for my frustration and kept me out of trouble in highschool so I am truly greatful.

I had the idea to become a member of this site solely because of a group project where we were given the task to create a website and attract 1500 visitors by mid-November. The website we created is about concerts near colleges. Yea I know, the idea....it's a little dry, so I came here for some inspiration and ideas to upgrade our website. So far, I've only found awesomeness from the members here, so thanks for your creativity!

Hello, dude.

I was a clarinet player myself, although I haven't twisted together my old clarinet in quite a few years. Your post reminds me it is on my list of things to do...and I might just do it today. I have a wooden Buffet clarinet that I chose for its mellow sound back in high school, and the poor thing has been in its case untouched for far too long.

About your website: if the concerts aren't free, then maybe you could set something up on your website by which random visitors can win a ticket or some band-related gear. People seem to like free stuff.

Also, you could have a comments page where people could post about their experiences at the concerts or simply their opinions about who is going to play. People like to see their own words in print and so then they might visit again to see if someone commented on their comments...just like I'm betting you'll return here to see if you got a response!

Welcome to the site, but for future reference, self promotion and advertising is strictly against Music Banter's rules. Stick around and get to know the community though!
