Oh, haha, sorry. Because I love music, and I outgrew the forum I was on last.

What brought you here?

Oh, what forum were you on before? I just wanted to try and find a decent place to talk/learn about music, especially since a lot of my friends all stick to the same music (which is also stuff that I don't listen to much) and I get kind of bored by it sometimes, and I happened to find this site. It was essentially a spur of the moment thing, though, haha. But now I'm feeling as though I shouldn't be here because I don't know about most of the stuff I've come across so far..x_X

I think most people do when they first join up. If you're willing to try new things and learn, then you'll pick up really quickly and have a great time here.

No matter what you listen to, there is someone here to talk about it with. I never find myself disappointed that I have nothing to share or discuss. A close second is the wealth of information and new music that the members here have to provide,

Welcome to the site. You'll find that the community as a whole is very mature as well as knowledgeable (like Pedestrian said). Quit simply, MusicBanter is the best forum to go to when you want to expand your taste in music (all you have to do is look around or just ask).
