Sorry I have to contact you like this, but when you keep locking the basement door it makes it very hard for you mother or I to speak to you in person.

Anyway, the bottom line is this: We're giving you until the end of the month to find an apartment and move out of the basement. Your mother is getting really upset and frankly so am I. When you lost your job and needed to move back home we were fine with that, but it's been three years Jay. This is getting ridiculous. Most guys your age have careers and their own places to live and... frankly... a girlfriend. You need to grow up and get your act together.

Please unlock the door or come upstairs so we can at least talk face to face.
