Oh man, you hate metal and jazz? Maybe we can help with that.

If you post which genres you enjoy most, and especially which artists are your favorite, I'm sure somebody could suggest some stuff for ya.

Well, metal's my area, so what about it don't you like? I'm sure I can find you something to bang your head to.

I'm a big fan of both metal and jazz so maybe I can help! What do you dislike about those forms of music?

Metal: I'm guessing you don't like screaming and roaring? If so, I know a lot of good instrumental metal and metal that doesn't feature roaring and such.
Pop: Eh, I totally get this one. I'm very picky with my pop, not sure I can help you.
Jazz: I don't get how you can dislike jazz, I mean, I'm not that much of a huge fan but I like it for what it is and I'm not sure how one can't even like it.
Folk: Not my area.

Gucci: Instrumental metal (Instru-metal?) Tell me more!
As for jazz, yeah I dislike it too. I find it overpretentious, meandering and boring. It freezes my soul. And yes, I'm aware of the irony of being a prog rock fan and talking about wandering, pretentious music (!) but jazz just does nothing for me. I think it's fair to say that I can envision anyone having a problem with any genre of music, so I can't subscribe to your notion that no-one could dislike jazz. There are loads of forms of music I dislike, for instance punk, reggae, a lot of soulless pop, a lot of country....

You haven't heard enough jazz if you'd describe all jazz and "wandering and pretentious". Whether it's your cup of tea or not, I really don't see how you could apply those words to something like this:
