Cool Erm...hi

I haven't been on a forum in years. I used to be on a forum for an old fav band name Rasputina (wonder if there are any fans here...)
I'm just gettin tired of doin the same old stuff online and thought getting back on a forum could be fun. Maybe I'll meet people around my area.
Recently been obsessed with Yeasayer. Also been listening to Little Comets, Local Natives, Miniature Tigers, and Mindless Self Indulgence. One of these is not like the others.
I have eclectic taste in music but I've been in an indie/alt kinda zone (with a few exceptions obviously).
Anyway, here I am. Who knows if I'll keep up with this but I've already subscribed to one thread so that will probably bring me back if anyone writes on it ever again.
So...cheers and hope to get to know some folks

Welcome to MB! I like Rasputina too, to an extent. I saw them in concert many years ago, in Beantown in fact.

Yeah I used to be obsessed with them. They've changed too much for my liking these days. I still appreciate the whole cello rock aspect though. Who was in the band at the time you last saw them?

I'm not sure. I saw them sometime around 1997 so whoever it was who was in the band then.

Oh wow! That was early! I would have killed to see them then! If I remember correctly that was around the time they would have toured with Marilyn Manson . Very cool, I'm green with envy.
And thank you Burning Down for the welcome

When I saw them they were opening for Bob Mould, I'm not sure if that would put it before of after they toured with Marilyn Manson. It was a nice semi-small venue too (Avalon in Boston, which I don't think exists anymore).

Yeah I'm not sure if that was before or after. I'm pretty sure I've heard of Avalon, never been myself. I actually haven't been to a concert in years. I'm contemplating seeing Yeasayer when they come to boston. Or The xx.
