As far as my favorite artists go I have a top 5

Andrew Jackson Jihad - Amazing folk punk, indie folk band saw them in concert amazing experience.

Wilco - I'm sure many people know this band I got into them way late but I've loved almost everything by the band

Radiohead - My first real band that I got myself into and became completely obsessed with every album of theirs is a favorite.

Tortoise - Still my favorite in post rock TNT is one of my favorite albums of all time

The Flaming Lips - The Lips date back to childhood for me I still remember hearing Yoshimi for the first time and loving it. I own a good portion of there catalog.

Some nice stuff there! I've been sort of a passive Tortoise fan since the mid to late 90s. Saw them in concert long ago and thought they were great in that context as well. I like Flaming Lips quite a bit too and saw them twice in concert around the time of Yoshimi, both were amazing shows.
