Heyyyy I'm Rachel, but some people call me Rae or Rc, whatever you prefer. I'm a singer-songwriter, and I've been playing guitar for 8 years, I started ukelele a while back, and now I'm starting to keyboard. I pick up music skills pretty fast, so learning a new instrument is usually never too much of a hassle for me, unless it's something completely out of my comfort zone.

I'm in a band that doesn't seem to have a name yet, because we can't decide on one and just keep changing it. However, we're pretty good I would say. We're a trio band with just a female bass player, a male drummer, and me on lead vocals and guitar. Our overall genre is a kinda an alternative pop punk style, similar to bands like 5 Seconds of Summer, the Arctic Monkeys, Panic! at the Disco, All Time Low, and the singer Halsey.

I write all of my own music and have performed for small audiences at coffee shops, senior homes, and other small yet cute places. I try to write mostly from my own perspective about my own experiences, but sometimes I'll try to write from the view of somebody else to get a new sound, and a new take on a song. Anyway, I can't wait to get to know people on here, and I hope I'm welcome here ahaha (: Thank you!

Welcome to the board. You seem fun and like you would be a welcome member of the community. Just remember, this is a place to discuss music, not advertise it, and we specifically have rules against doing so.

That said, please, stick around and enjoy yourself! As long as you can handle bitter sarcasm and inside jokes, you'll do just fine.

So, what bands are you into right now?

Haha, no worries My band doesn't even have any recordings yet so I have no intention of trying to advertise, just giving some background about me. Glad to hear there's some sarcasm, because I'm literally the most sarcastic person I know.... Not always a good thing whoops

Anyway I've been listening to this one band called Uncharted Shores a lot lately. Really talented but I don't think they've put out any new stuff since like 2012. I'm also digging the Black Keys right now, those are the first two that come to mind.

Would you please settle a bet I have with The Batlord? Just tell me whether you prefer your eggs fried or scrambled. It really would mean a lot to me.
