That might cover rent and utilities (water, electricity, gas), basic cable and internet. But I assume a person would be living on ramen. 
And if you have a car, forget about it. That won't buy your car payments, gas, and insurance. (Which, in my own experience, usually add up to about $300/mo.)

One of my friends makes that kind of money after taxes, and she's living with her parents.
Does Florida just have a lower cost of living or something? As trade-off for being literally the worst?
