Default Hello

I'm a 19 year old college student from Syria. I spend most of my free time listening to music. Some of my current favourite artists are Swans, FKA twigs, Run The Jewels, Sun Kil Moon, Death Grips, Yasmine Hamdan, Fleet Foxes, Wu-Tang Clan, PJ Harvey, The Antlers and Beck, to name a few.

Welcome Azhr , I'm a bit of an oldie and I don't recognise any of those , ( except Beck ? Surly not Jeff Beck ? )
Anyway , music speaks across all ages and backgrounds, I'm a new one here myself so welcome aboard.

You look like you'll fit right in here. Welcome aboard. May I ask if you still live in Syria? If so, how did you happen to find out about all these artists? Chronic internet addiction, like the rest of us?

I moved to Lebanon about 7 years ago after my parents passed away since my mother's side of the family is Lebanese. And yeah, I discover most of the music I listen to either through the internet or friends.

I'm sorry about your parents. That's rough. I'm glad you were able to go to Lebanon.

I hope you stick around! As long as you can handle brutal sarcasm and mean spirited humor, you'll enjoy yourself.

Welcome! You listen to good music. The Antlers are kinda well known (well, at least among people who listen to indie music) in India. As a mater of fact, I was listening to "Shiva" just the other day. It's interesting to note that a name of a Hindu god is also Shiva. (Even though I know that it's not a reference to Him. I looked it up, you see. :p ) Even I'm new to this forum (the old join date notwithstanding xD), and intend to stick around. Cheers!
