Default Greetings and Salutations!!!

Hello everyone. My name is Cleveland Raymond. I'm a Sr. Software Engineer and I play guitar and piano as well as write my own musical compositions. I would've posted links to my finished musical works, but I can't do that until I've made 15 posts here.

My whole purpose of joining this site is so I can post my music for everyone to here and critique. Perhaps an admin can help me with this?

Sorry Cleveland. Our rules strictly prohibit people joining the site for the sole purpose of getting their music out, which you clearly just stated was your intent. I'm deleting the Youtube vids.

You seem nice. Stick around and discuss music that isn't yours and if you become ingrained in our community a bit you can post your music, just not off the bat.

Oh.. Sorry about that. I seen the section on posting songwriting, lyrics and poetry and thought it would be ok to post my music. You might want to check in that sub-forum, 83354-daedalus-online-concert.html, because I have a posted there as well. Sorry about that.

I'd love to hang out and get to know everyone.

The fact that you just pointed that out is great. You'll do fine here. Don't feed The Batlord.

I'm glad you got to enjoy the music Mr. Charlie! I didn't mean to break the forum rules. I don't intend to try to sell or advertise anything. I just wanted to share the music that I write. As Exo has stated, perhaps I will be able to share with you all in the future

Exo, I also have segments of the music I write so I can demonstrate how I write music. Would this be something that would be allowed? Basically, I demonstrate how I compose songs by introducing a melody or bass line and expand upon those voices.

Exo, you got the post of me playing my guitar, but you missed the thread I created in the "Songwriting, Lyrics and Poetry" sub-forum titled "Daedalus' Online Concert". I would edit it myself, but I'm not sure if you just want to delete the entire thread or what? I wonder if I can delete it...

You can talk about how you write music. That's encouraged! You're not at fault for being a musician my friend. We do however keep to a strict set of rules about actually posting the music when you first sign up. This is to deter people from just registering to get their music to more ears. It happens ALL THE TIME. 99/100 are just people looking for views on their youtube videos. You seem different. Participate in some topics, contribute to the community, and in like two weeks you're free to post some music up if you're still around and posting.

We have a lot of member here that are musicians and post their music regularly. We just like these people to contribute to the rest of the forum besides trying to get people to listen to their stuff. Not saying you're doing that, but there are hundreds who do.

Just saw this now. Thanks for pointing that out. You're winning brownie points.

Thank you Exo! I appreciate your honesty and fully understand how that can be a problem. Like I said, I just wanted to share my music because it generates interest for people learning how I do it With that being said, I look forward to contributing to the forums!!!
