Thank god you took the eyebrow piercing out. Outside of that I have no complaints.

What's wrong with eyebrow piercings? I love them myself.

I've never had any trouble with any of my piercings at airports. Don't the metal detectors only ever detect large amounts of metal, not a tiny little piece of body jewelry? Anyway, I always wondered why I never beeped.

Tis true and a little piercing here and there helps focusing on another body part for a while.

Ladies please don't post navel piercings as I am weak and lose focus upon viewing!...please post away

It's more of the kind of metal not its quantity. Last time at the airport the metal detector kept ringing at a piece of metallic cover for the chewing gum. A bit like these:

Such a ridiculous day.

The eyebrow piercing was more of a decision to permanently change my image in favor of one less traditional, more likely to offend, and overall to convince myself and my peers that I was not in fact a teachers pet (which i continued to be despite all my choices) and that I was a bit of an alternative: in short, i did it for all the wrong reasons. Regardless, it did what it was supposed to. Not long after that I stopped wearing all black because i was no longer trying to prove anything to anyone cuz the piercing did it for me. and not long after THAT I became who I am now... a confident, unique young lady who is totally ok with the way i look. I think my body decided I didn't need the piercing any more, because it rejected it. I was going to get it redone (the place offered to redo it for free), but i agree Barnard, I'm glad it grew out.

ha, that was a long explanation that no one probably wanted to hear (read).
For some reason, i find the double lip ring (they kinda look like fangs, you know?) incredibly sexy.... but i would NEVER encourage anyone to get them. Peircings, like tatoos, should look like you were born with them because they just *fit* so well. meh.

They make blokes look *** and chicks look like ****s. In my old age (hur hurr) I tend to find pretty much any piercing which is away from the ears, with the exception of "functional" piercings, to be generally crass and immature. As is evinced by the fact that VeggieLover originally got the thing under the impression it would cause some massive revolution to the nature of her personality and the way people perceived her.
