No idea, I'm pretty clueless in terms of that area of the world! Though I do know that our dollar is pretty much at parity with the US/Canadian at the moment so I really should get my ass over there!

Haha what... we celebrate Christmas in summer, as does the rest of the southern hemisphere. We still call winter 'Winter' and summer 'Summer' but they occur at opposite times of the year for us.

This practice boggles my mind. I have family in Florida and they aren't depressed about palm trees on christmas. I would refuse to celebrate if it were 90 degrees.

I should have figured that out before.
Really never thought about it. Still, Australia is probably the only country of the southern hemisphere that appeals to me. I can't really tell you why. I usually prefer the countries up north

Why's that? You like cooler weather? If so, you'd love the South Island of New Zealand It kicks Australia's ass. |

I like cooler weather, I love snow and ice and I love the sound of most scandinavian languages.
Reasons not to go to australia and such: I don't like insects and spiders and it seems to me (judging by television ,again) there's quite a lot of those overthere...

Allright, I'll have to remember that.
It's not like I will ever have the money, but hey . No harm in dreaming.
