It's probably because the pics are usually taken at [relatively] vastly different points in time. I don't ordinarily take pictures of myself often (or have them taken). Last one I took was like... I dunno... 2 or 3 years ago?

Same thing I was thinking.

I thought I remember a picture of you awhile back where you had a pretty strong jaw, but it doesn't look that way in this pic. Maybe the facial hair's hiding it or is my memory illusory?

Probably a result of the downward angle in the recent picture, versus the upward angle in the old one, along with the fact that I've put on probably 10-15 pounds since the other one. heh.
