Harley doesn't need J-man to exist. She can have some adventures with Poison Ivy.

But how could you introduce the Joker's sidekick without the Joker? Not to mention that you'd then be introducing a new villain (Poison Ivy) with another new villain at the same time. It would **** with everything.

Pretty sure Poison Ivy was played by Uma Thurman at some point.

Bring back Jack Nicholson as the joker, and Harley Quinn for the first time. Let the Dark Knight series die with Heath Ledger and go back to the other movies, preferably with some up and coming buff guy as Batman who can do 3 or 4 movies. Frankly, as cool and dark as Ledger was, I've always loved Nicholson's comic-style wacky joker better.

I hope you don't mean Batman Forever or Tim burton's god awful goth interpretation of batman. Those movies were awful.

Jack nicholson did play the joker well but Heath made him a true psycho.
he lacked the comedic timing Jack brought to the character but he made the joker seem like the true crazy villain he is.

I find Tim Burton's Batman unwatchable.

I gave the first Batman a marginal pass on 1. The look of the film, 2. Humor , 3. Kim Basinger looking glorious. But there were two or three titanic plot holes that pretty much sank that film (NPI)

Doesn't matter, you still have to introduce her in this/or the next series of films.

Meh. I liked him, but he played him too much as a gangster for my tastes. Ledger stripped the Joker down to his bare parts, dumping the comic book elements that might not work as well in a film, and just played him as a pure psychotic... with clown make-up. Glorious.
