I'll also never be able to take gun sounds in movies/TV seriously ever again. Guns are loud. Like, literally deafening.

I was at the range once and took the ear muffs off for a few rounds just to get a sense of how loud it was. Yup. LOUD!

Yeah, whenever I see some guy on some CSI show fire a gun inside a house, I'm just like, "Your hearing should be gone, and yet ten seconds later you're having a conversation which clearly indicates that your hearing is perfectly unaffected? Bull****."

That's what she said.

RoxyRollah 01-30-2015 01:11 AM

That is not code.

The Batlord 01-30-2015 01:39 AM

That's what you think.

Yup... Four bucks for the whole freakin day. We're spoiled here. Plus a trap range, thinking I'm gonna get the man and I a trap shooter for valentines day because that looks way fun.

This is about how much space you get, and even on a Sunday the place isn't too crowded so you usually get even more.

We got some badass wimmens up in here.

Last time I was on a range was 1986 at Ft. Jackson South Carolina in the Army. M16A1 w/40 rounds. I shot 38 out of 40 targets (50-300 yards w/pop-up targets) which got me an Expert Marksman/Rifle badge, and a helicopter ride back to the Barracks.

There's an outdoor range not too far from me now, but these days I probably couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with an M198 Howitzer.

Usually shoot a PX4 semi auto, or most recently the black powder which I believe is a .45 colt if I remember correctly. Either way, the thing is ancient, its not a replica. It was used once upon a time in old battles. That's my bf's baby haha. I'm gonna get one though.

****in nice on the badge man. One hit on each or superb grouping?

One hit on each. I missed a 150, and a 250. I could have gone sniper if I wanted (they asked, I declined), and I'm not just saying that because of the current **** going on. I was more interested in doing my time and getting the **** out. One other person fired expert that day too, and he got 40/40 (Eagle Eye). He was a good ol boy from Kentucky and been shooting since he was old enough to pull a trigger.

Would love to score one of these just because they are the coolest blend of wood and steel.
