What an honor! I've been likened to James Joyce and to Oscar Wilde a few times recently and I couldn't think of a finer compliment!
And to profess my love of Joyce, from The Innerspace Library: A Summary I've just drafted:
Quote:
I've a strange collection of James Joyce items, including:
- an Easton edition of Ulysses
- a museum exhibit text titled, Ulysses in Hand
- a cryptic and dense Annotations to Finnegans Wake published by Johns Hopkins University
- a 1960s paperback of The Wake
- Campbell’s A Skeleton Key to Finnegans Wake
- and A Gaelic Lexicon for The Wake published by The University of California in 1968
But most-treasured is my vinyl copy of Joyce, himself reading from The Wake and Ulysses.
I’ve also a copy of Time Magazine from 1939 with a handsomely elder Joyce on the cover containing his final interview before his passing. I made sure to produce high-resolution scans of the issue in full and had the piece archivally framed for my parlor.
