Most died from the toxicity of the smoke before they got burned. Investigators said it would only take a few breaths of it to kill you. Seeing the amount of thick black smoke pouring out of the front door is freaky.

Such a senseless tragedy but I guess it isn't stopping bands (and venue owners) from using pyro in small clubs.

No offense to anyone, but why take the chance? Kiss perfected it back in 1975. Everything since has been lame (and dangerous).

I hope he got fired.

I saw this band live I don’t even know how many times

It always seemed like the club was burning down

The shows were so frantic and felt really dangerous

Same, I always map an escape route. I heard that about the bouncer too, that he was only letting band people out the side/back exit or whatever. Fires and crowd crushing **** is always in the back of my mind, ever since I was in a play about a kid who died in a crushing incident at a Who concert lol.

1979 in Cincinnati. Eleven kids crushed to death. Dozens other seriously injured. All because the crowd miss-took a last minute soundcheck as the start of the actual concert.

The comedy WKRP in Cincinnati did a very straight and dark episode about it.

That must suck to die in Cincinnati.

That was in my Senior Year at High School. The Capital Center in DC stopped unassigned seating (first come first serve)after that incident.

Anytime some old ass people talk about my generation or younger ones being selfish and stupid I'm sharing that picture.
