I love finding never-worn vintage clothing at a great price. I found this dress shirt new with tag from the 70s on Etsy. The custom KLF pyramid blaster and Deutsche Grammophon Avant-Garde enamel pinbacks are from Etsy as well.

This is a continuation of my attempt to make my vintage style a bit more contemporary while still retaining my unique character. I think I did all right.

Is your skin that smooth or is it shopped?

Well, first, I didn't really see anything self-deprecating about Lucem's post. He posted a picture of himself and then people started making fun of him. That's not self-deprecation, that's bullying.

Second, even if Lucem did feel the need to self-deprecate, there's no need for others to pounce on that and make him feel worse. That's not what should happen in a normal, civil, supporting community (jury is still out if MB is or wants to be that kind of community).

Mutual respect, politeness and good manners are great and very important to me. What do good-natured jokes among consenting adults have to do with that?
I don't find negative comments on someone's looks "good-natured" or funny. And I also don't see where the other party gave their consent to be ridiculed, unless you think sharing something on an online forum is an open invitation for abuse.

I mean I get it, you guys are just bros and you're being "broey". I just never understood that culture and am questioning the logics (and usefulness) of it. :/

But you know, carry on I guess...:/

^Im just playing devils advocate but you did sort of come back to a different mb. I imagine the jokes thrown at Lucem were not meant to be harmful. Knowing the people telling them definitely helps. Also elph has also been getting **** on so it just sort of happens. I get it too. Everyone does.

No shopping. That's just the camera / compression of my phone.

Get over yourself dude. You're basically jumping into a wrestling match and demanding that everybody just get along because you're not familiar with that type of humour.

You do not speak for everyone. If that **** bothers you then people will respect that but let other people interact as they please.

I'm familiar, I've been on the internet for a while now...I just don't condone it. For reasons explained above. I also try to unpack some of the reasons for this type of behavior here

I'm well aware that I don't speak for everyone, I speak for myself and am trying to engage in a rational debate about the behavior of others that I see as problematic. If you want to be a bully, that's absolutely your right, just like it's my right to question your values and motives and maybe make you think about how your behavior affects others, since apparently, lots of people are not aware.

Framing it as bullying is really misleading. Almost like suggesting that S&M is inherently abusive. I guess you just lack a sense of humour since you say you understand it but still show a total misunderstanding of our perspective.

Sigh. S&M is a consensual sexual fetish, taking abuse from online people is not inherent in the social contract of forum posting, or at least it shouldn't be, and is definitely not something people enjoy or get off on. If you took a canvas of the people here and asked them what would they prefer, insults being hurled at them whenever they post pictures or normal, friendly and/or supportive messages, what result do you think you would get? Sorry to tell you, most people are not masochists :/

Oh and I definitely lack your "bro-ey" sense of humor. It's macho sh!t I was never interested in. Doesn't mean I don't have A sense of humor. It's just not based on abuse. :/

I should point out that this type of behavior is almost exclusively between men and other men, which perpetuates the atmosphere and culture of toxic masculinity, because "feelings" are for "whiny-ass pussies".
