Yes, you'll need a total style make-over if you want to be taken seriously as a member of that MB Coven you were planning with Marie and Cella D - that's online and irl too, of course!

Definitely! I'm more like the MB coven's plain Amish cousin.

Good one, ribbons! That's a role you could probably manage more convincingly - though you'd have to renounce a lot of your music collection, full of that devilish rock music, etc etc.

Definitely in the minority in it being the #1 favourite... but it's an absolute banger. I feel like George really began to come into his own as a songwriter on Rubber Soul.

I'd imagine you more as the Magrat Garlick of the coven.

Agree it's a great song. I'd rate it after Girl and Nowhere Man myself.

Let It Be is my favorite Beatles album. I'll see myself out.

Yes, the Velvet Underground and Stooges definitely would be a violation of the Ordnung. It’s not easy being Amish.

I agree, Pet_Sounds - George’s songwriting blossomed on Rubber Soul and “Think For Yourself” has very interesting chord patterns, as many of George’s songs do. I also like Paul’s fuzz bass (and regular bass beneath the fuzz) on the track. I’m always attentive to Paul’s bass in Beatles songs. “If I Needed Someone” is another great George track. Every song is great on RS - except for “Run For Your Life” imho. Ending the album with that song really mars the album for me.

"Nowhere Man" is amazing, with great some background vocals by Paul and George. I like "Girl" musically but not so much thematically - John groveling to some femme fatale, lol.

The “wet hen” of the coven - not far off the mark, lol!!

I definitely see what you see in Let It Be. E.g., “Don’t Let Me Down” is one of my favorite songs of all time, even though the Get Back documentary wore me out of it for hours on end.

Well, maybe sometimes early on, but also a voice of reason and understanding.. And of course she's lethally capable when push comes to shove
